Nebuta House Wa Rasse is scheduled to open January 2011
“Exhibits will include up to five large-scale Nebuta floats from each previous year’s festival, several mid-scale floats and smaller parts of Nebuta characters. The surrounding walls will also display the heads of Nebuta characters by a number of artists. With hayashi-music playing, walking through the sea of Nebuta, surrounded by the floats, you will feel as if you can hear the sounds of the street festival.”
Recently, a small sparrow flew into the molo studio and perched herself on top of a scale model of the Nebuta House. We think this must be a sign of good luck for the building’s continued success during its opening and day-to-day operation.
