With heartfelt lantern for Japan, we are trying to use something delightful to help with relief for a tragic event. Our work is continuing with a flexible shelter system that, hopefully, will one day be able to assist in a more immediate and tangible way.

We want to be able to help in raising awareness of the need for aid in Japan – a country that has offered so much design culture to the world.

We have been working for 10 years, designing a museum in Northern Japan. The museum, in Aomori City, was not damaged and was able to act as a temporary shelter for residents from damaged areas of Aomori Prefecture.
