inside the luminous white textile softblock room

Coming up on molo’s exhibit you will see to contrasting volumes – a delicate white tower made of paper-like textile and an earthy, organic brown paper room. The contrast of materials highlights the translucent fibres of the textile (lit from within) and the rich opaque brown of the kraft paper blocks.

In the foreground indigo blue softseating fanning stools are mixed throughout the brown paper stools; on the wall behind hang a variety of softwalls in various heights and materials – including the pale yellow textile softwall and indigo blue softwall, each colour chosen specifically to highlight the qualities of the textile and paper honeycomb.
