Last week at the Dwell on Design show in Los Angeles, molo’s softwall won a Modern World Award in the “create” category. softwall was selected as the winner from five finalists in the category by the editors of Dwell Magazine.
“Each of us is creating every day, and the tools we use—from a modular building system to a fountain pen—help define what we can do. Because we can’t imagine a world without constant creation and innovation, and because we at Dwell are hard at it each day, we want to praise the designs that keep the makers making.” – Editors of Dwell Magazine
molo’s Stephanie Forsythe is presented the award by Sam Grawe, Editor-in-Chief, Dwell Magazine
molo’s softwall + softblock modular system is a flexible freestanding partition system that can expand and contract to freely shape more intimate spaces within larger open areas. The cellular structure of softwall + softblock serves to dampen sound while translucent or opaque versions sculpt the light of a space. Recognized for its elegant innovation, softwall + softblock is a part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.
