limited edition softwall at ORGATEC
22 – 25 October 2024
join molo in Cologne to celebrate the studio’s 20th anniversary at ORGATEC!
when Stephanie Forsythe and Todd MacAllen founded molo, they did so around new ideas and ways of building lightly, flexibly, and sustainably. Over twenty years, these ideas have developed into the soft collection. At ORGATEC, molo invites you to share this landmark anniversary with the studio and experience the soft collection’s tactile beauty, expressive movement, and acoustic qualities in person.
designed by Forsythe and MacAllen, the soft collection is a line of flexible space partitions, furniture, and lighting elements. Elements compress and expand, linking together as part of a modular, sustainable building system for living and working environments. Sculptural and practical, the collection has been used to redefine offices, events, and commercial spaces around the world.

pop-up office space that comes in quiet
in the workspace, green helps promote concentration and productivity by fostering a sense of natural calm. Built entirely from the soft collection and featuring limited editions of softwall in forest green, as well as elements micro-coated with aluminum, the exhibition is intended as a peaceful area of focus.
the softwall is a freestanding and completely flexible acoustic partition wall featuring an internal honeycomb structure and pleated surface that breaks up reflected sound and provides acoustic absorption, enhancing speech clarity and creating acoustically calm rooms. colour + light
limited editions for softwall
unfurling a softwall can completely transform a space. Light reflects back and forth between the vertical fins and folds of softwall, amplifying colour and transforming a single shade into a dynamic range of hues as light moves across the partition’s sculptural form. Observing similar effects in nature has inspired Forsythe and MacAllen to create softwall in a series of limited edition colours.
forest green draws inspiration from the natural beauty that surrounds molo’s studio + workshop and evokes the variegated colours and shadows found in the Pacific Northwest rainforest. Like fresh spring blossoms, petal pink is surprising and joyful. Light plays between the layers of the softwall, ranging from a saturated pink to a barely perceptible blush.
molo founder and designer Stephanie Forsythe will be at ORGATEC to share her unique insight into the studio.
