textile softwall is an acoustic room divider and flexible wall partition. While molo offers a range of standard colours, the textile material can be printed in any Pantone, offering unique possibilities for shaping space through atmosphere. Shades of yellow are often translucent, allowing the volume of the space partition to softly glow as sunlight touches its surface. Other colours are usually opaque, creating an effective privacy screen. For information on minimum order sizes and lead times, please contact sales@molodesign.com.
textile softwall is a freestanding flexible wall that may be shaped in countless curved or linear formations. When stored compressed, the folding wall shrinks to the thickness of a book. From its condensed state, it expands to an impressive 15 feet (4.5 meters) long or any length between.
The moveable wall can be spontaneously arranged as a room divider and acoustic partition to absorb sound and establish privacy or to create a striking backdrop for an event or performance. As a modular system belonging to the molo soft collection, each softwall + softblock has magnetic end panels that connect these flexible building blocks to create longer partitions and immersive, sculptural installations.
Recognized for elegant design and innovation, softwall is held in the Museum of Modern Art’s permanent collection and is the winner of the prestigious Danish INDEX Award for design to improve life.

When compressed for shipping and storage, softwall measures less than 2.5 inches (5 centimetres) thick.

Freestanding and completely flexible acoustic panels, the internal honeycomb structure and pleated surfaces of softwall + softblock break up reflected sound and provide acoustic absorption, enhancing speech clarity and creating acoustically calm rooms.

The folding rounded end panel design of softwall gives stability to the freestanding partitions while creating a sense of infinity and sculptural continuity with a never-ending pattern of vertical lines.

Transform the emotive quality of a space with a bold splash of colour.
colour
The optics of light bouncing back and forth within the pleated surface intensifies the colour saturation and shadows of the chosen Pantone. Context, lighting conditions, and arrangement all play a role in the lively shift of colour tone and depth, transforming a single colour into a range of hues.
material
The textile is made from nonwoven polyethylene. It is UV stable, anti-static to repel dust, tear-resistant, and easily cleaned with soap and water.

The honeycomb geometry and soft material allows softwall to flex and curve, creating straight walls, serpentine structures, or fanned formations. The walls flat-pack for portability and storage, expanding up to 15 feet (4.5 meters) or any length between.
limited editions
molo designers and cofounders, Stephanie Forsythe and Todd MacAllen, have a continued interest in how their original creations change through light and shadow or with the application of new material finishes and colour. As part of these ongoing explorations, molo will occasionally offer special editions of softwall + softblock without an MOQ.
