overview

Available in sizes that correspond to softseating’s surface diameter, wool felt pad makes a lovely companion to the textile and paper seats. The pads can also be used as cushions along a bench or floor, as a soft display surface, or as a bed for four-legged friends.

The thick, soft pads are made from 100% lambswool. Hypoallergenic, antibacterial, antimicrobial, thermally insulating, fire retardant, UV and water / spill-resistant; wool’s natural properties are varied—and even a little astonishing.

With use, the top surface of softseating will soften and fold into a unique, organic pattern. This patina catches light in a beautiful and varied way and does not affect the structural integrity of the honeycomb geometry. Felt pads can be used to slow the patina’s formation. If you are considering using softseating in a high-traffic environment or public space, please contact us for our recommendations on including felt pads with your order.

a minimalist dog bed

Approved by molo studio pups, Louie and Bear. The natural protein molecules in wool destroy odor-forming bacteria, and the waxy coating on the outer shaft of each fibre is water / stain-resistant.

use on the floor

Laying out felt pads on delicate or cold floors can serve as an area rug or carpet, and a playful mix of sizes adds an abstract, natural quality to the arrangement, like stones in a river.

softseating patina

molo cherishes how objects age and weather over time or with use. For molo products, this is most evident in softseating, where the top surface can fold into a structure that looks like charred wood or feathers. This natural wear can be minimized by pairing felt pads with softseating.

We recommend contacting us at sales@molodesign.com with details about your project to receive our suggestions on including felt pads.

wool felt top for cantilever table

A larger size of felt has been introduced to the collection as a contemporary interpretation of a tablecloth, which can be added as an accessory for cantilever table. The felt surface offers a soft cushion for laptops, glassware, or resting elbows on the table surface.
